Ziv believes that for a successful outcome there has to be a partnership between the patient and the practitioner, and that well-being includes the mind, not only the physical body. Ziv Greenfeld started his journey toward natural medicine with a background in basic sciences,
mathematics and physics. Ziv received his B.Sc. in Mathematics and Atmospheric Physics, as well as his Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel.
Transitioning to medical studies Ziv earned his medical degree, MMBS, from Hebrew University, Jerusalem, and University for Medical Studies, Colombo, Sir Lanka. Ziv’s research in nephrology allowed him to develop acute and chronic models of renal failure, and aging mechanisms in the kidney.
Additionally, Ziv completed a Post-doctorate fellowship at West Virginia University with a focus on the mechanisms of renal aging.
Ziv expanded his education to include Chinese medicine which he studied in Israel, Sri Lanka and the United States, earning a Diploma in Chinese Medicine, as well as a Master of Science degree in Oriental Medicine. Balance method and Robert Doan’s Distal Needling Technique, both systems being extremely effective. Ziv is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and skillfully uses Chinese herbs and supplements as part of the treatments, as well as ear and scalp acupuncture.
